X-58 Nyx camos in MW4
The X-58 Nyx has 18 camos on its own track: eight Military camos from weapon level 9 to 47 (of 53 levels), three Special camos, Gold, Platinum and Harmonic Break, and four Pyroclast camos for Weapon Prestige.
About the X-58 Nyx
Activision describes the X-58 Nyx as covert SMG with an integrated suppressor and strong sound reduction at close to mid range. Its Apex Attachment, the X-58 Void, subsonic modification: very quiet fire, hides skulls on enemy deaths and minimizes directional hit indicators. The X-58 Nyx takes 9 attachment types (optic, muzzle, barrel, underbarrel, magazine, rear grip, stock, laser, and ammunition). Military camos
Military camos unlock by reaching a weapon level, in Multiplayer or DMZ, and the level differs by weapon. On the X-58 Nyx the first comes at level 9, earlier than the median first level of 11 for SMGs. The gaps between camos run from 4 levels (before Military Camo 5) to 7 levels (before Military Camo 7), 5.4 on average. Its last Military camo sits at 89% of its levels, the second lowest share among the 5 SMGs; the lowest is the ISO Nightshade at 89%.

Special camos
The X-58 Nyx has three Special camos, each with its own challenge: Sniper Veil, Carbonated, and Lime. The challenges open at weapon levels 17, 35, and 53, the last at the 53-level maximum. Complete a challenge once and the camo can be used on every weapon.

Completionist camos
Gold, Platinum and Harmonic Break come after all Military and Special camos on a weapon. Platinum and Harmonic Break use the challenge of the weapon's class, so every SMG has the same two. Platinum on the X-58 Nyx also needs Gold on every other SMG: ISO Nightshade, VEL 46, Wz.55 Striga, and PPSh-41.
